The Cyprus Psychological Association (CyPsA), in collaboration with Dr. med. Christos Charis and the Department of Psychology at the University of Cyprus, is pleased to organize, for the sixth consecutive year, the “German-Cypriot Psychotherapy Dialogues”, entitled “Depression: Case Formulation and Treatment in Psychodynamic and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.”
Building on the success of what has now become a well-established and highly anticipated tradition, this year’s event is organized as a German-Cypriot collaboration, bringing together professionals from both countries to share clinical knowledge and cultural perspectives.
This year’s focus is depression—a central and enduring challenge in psychotherapy. The conference will delve into case formulation and intervention strategies from both Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy frameworks.
Our aim is to offer participants a training experience that is both theoretically grounded and practically relevant, with a focus on enhancing clinical skills, deepening understanding, and bridging conceptual models.
The event is addressed to practicing psychologists, psychology students and other mental health professionals. It offers a valuable opportunity to exchange ideas, engage in interactive discussions, and participate in group supervision sessions led by experienced clinicians from Cyprus and Germany.
